To Delete, Or Not To Delete

Stefaner's Notabilia Wikipedia Visualization

Stefaner's Notabilia

What happens when someone suspects a Wikipedia entry of not having the right stuff? There’s a process for that:

Like a garden, an online encyclopedia needs constant weeding. Unlike a garden, an online encyclopedia has thousands of potential gardeners. Over years Wikipedia has developed guidelines and policies to help editors collectively decide whether topics are suitable for inclusion or not. All articles, especially new ones, are reviewed by the community to determine if they meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines.

Collectively, these are known as Articles for Deletion, and you can trace the fates of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Children Of Michael Jackson, and hundreds of others in Moritz Stefaner’s Notabilia.
